About the Role
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Survey sites ahead of fitting heating, ventilation or air conditioning systems
• Examine drawings and specifications to determine layout of heating & ventilation system;
• Measure and cut required lengths of copper, lead, steel, iron, aluminium or plastic using hand or
machine tools;
• Planning the placement of pipework, ducts and control panels
• Installing HVAC components
• Performing quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely
• Carrying out maintenance on HVAC systems
• Finding and fixing faults
• Pricing and estimating of projects.
• Handling Site Work, including execution, preparing measurements and drawings.
• Manage Manpower and material requirements.
Requirements
The ideal applicant will be an experienced Heating Engineer and will have intimate knowledge of heating products and a complete understanding of the technology.
• You need to be Pro-active, driven & adaptable.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines.
Due to the technical nature of the job, proficiency in the following is a mandatory requirement for this job:
1. Minimum accredited Higher National Diploma or Certificate or equivalent technical qualification
2. Minimum 7-10 years relevant experience is required.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office
